ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 1, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Caminar is pleased to announce that Maritza Henry, MA, LMFT, Director of School-Based Programs for Family & Children Services, a Division of Caminar, will be a featured speaker at the 8th Annual Wellness Together Student Mental Wellness Conference. The event, a premier gathering of educators and mental health professionals, will take place October 9 - 11, 2024, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA.
Henry's breakout session, "Reimagining school-based mental health: A holistic systemic approach," will take place on Thursday, October 10th starting at 8:30 am PT. She will be joined by Brian Hinojosa, Wellness Program Manager for the Wellness Programs for Family & Children Services, a Division of Caminar. Together, they will present insights on transforming school-based mental health by embracing a holistic approach that fosters collaborative communication, citing examples from evidence-based programs.

Through interactive questions and exercises, Henry and Hinojosa will encourage the audience to think critically about how practicing trauma-informed holistic systematic approaches can extend beyond the classroom and into the community.
