“I had been living in a sober living environment and I relapsed back onto drugs and alcohol. That’s how I lost my place. I was kicked out and found myself back outside on the streets. I ended up at an emergency shelter. One of their case managers while I was there connected me to Caminar’s Resource Connect Solano. The staff at Resource Connect Solano were amazing and very helpful. I was referred to Caminar’s Fair Haven Commons. I’ve been here two years in a studio and it’s perfect. Nice and quiet and my neighbors are really friendly.

My case managers help me with all of my doctor’s appointments and staying on top of those. I am also connected to the Jobs Plus program at Caminar and work with my case manager, who is great. We have put in a lot of applications so that I can work again and we are just waiting for one to call us back.

The Caminar programs I have been in have helped me to stay clean and sober, which I have been for the last four years! For my mental health, being able to talk to my support team keeps me less depressed knowing that I do have this support from Caminar. They have helped me out a lot!”
