Introducing Our Newest Board Members
Caminar is delighted to introduce four new board members who have joined our organization in the past few months.

Gio Granato, PhD, a senior data and analytics leader at Meta, has joined Caminar’s Board of Directors. With his diverse educational background and data science and strategy expertise, Dr. Granato brings value advising and steering leadership to drive and elevate Caminar’s forward trajectory. He is excited to embark on this journey with Caminar to continue providing healthcare to empower and support individuals in our communities to move toward resilience, wellness, and independence.

Chris Hayward, MD, MPH, has joined Caminar’s Board of Directors. Dr. Hayward is a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University and has held many leadership roles. For the past 12 years, Dr. Hayward has been the Adult Psychiatry Division Chief and Director of Adult Psychiatric Clinical Services for Stanford Health Care. In this role, he has extensive experience with clinical service operations, multidisciplinary staffing, mental health care finance, and quality improvement for ambulatory, inpatient, and emergency psychiatric services.

Carmen Román, PhD, Psychotherapist and Consultant, has joined Caminar’s Board of Directors. With 30 years of experience in psychology, Dr. Román has been a university professor and a business consultant, and has worked extensively with stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma in adults, couples, and families. More recently, she founded Emotions in Harmony to use technology to increase mental health awareness. For this, she has created a digital library with more than 250 episodes in English and Spanish distributed via three podcasts and two mental health YouTube channels.

Joanne Wu Jennings has joined the board of Caminar, a leading behavioral health care agency in the Bay Area. While her work has focused on business efficiency and organizational change, her true passion is helping others to achieve and exceed their personal goals. She has long been an advocate for family and children's well-being and is excited to bring this dedication to Caminar. Joanne has a special commitment to removing stigmas around mental health needs and empowering individuals and families to move towards wellness and independence within underserved minority populations.
