 MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MONTH

May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we join with other organizations and individuals across the nation to raise awareness, help reduce stigma, and educate our communities about mental health.

This year has been hard. How are you?

Throughout the month, we will share mental health tips, events, and resources on our blog.

Caminar is deeply grateful to Sutter Health Mills-Peninsula Medical Center Foundation for the many years of support for our Expressive Arts program, including a generous $55,000 grant this year.

Expressive Arts provides weekly drop-in art workshops at Caminar's residential homes in San Mateo County that are led by world-renowned photographer Michael Collopy and musician Maikel Garcia. The workshops encourage participants to use different art media and forms to express their feelings in new and therapeutic ways.

Caminar is deeply honored by Sutter Health Mills-Peninsula Medical Center Foundation’s significant 2021 grant. With their generous, renewed support, Caminar will continue helping clients make progress on their healing journeys.
