Climate crises, COVID-19, mass shootings, the prevalence and effects of lethal drugs like fentanyl, a polarized political environment, among so many other issues, cause anxiety, depression, and toxic stress for this generation of youth. Left unaddressed, we face an entire generation growing up with unresolved trauma, anxiety, and depression that will be passed on to future generations.

Save the date and join us on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 12 - 1:30 PM for an engaging and enlightening virtual panel discussion with adolescent mental health experts to address solutions to the question: How can we restore hope and resilience in our youth?

Caminar's Resource Connect Solano Received Grant from Sutter Health

Caminar is thrilled to recognize Sutter Health's recent generous grant in support of Resource Connect Solano. Caminar's Resource Connect serves as Solano County's Coordinated Entry System operator, leading community-wide communication, collaboration, and coordination to assist our unhoused neighbors. This grant will support program operations as well as expand Caminar's ability to prevent homelessness through rental assistance and application fee assistance. Our thanks to Sutter Health for their support of this important work

Caminar in the News

Our CEO, Mark Cloutier, was interviewed by NBC-TV on World Teen Mental Wellness Day about the mental health struggles our youth face in the wake of the pandemic and why the internet and social media play a big part in the challenges they face. Please watch the interview here.

Caminar's Resource Connect Solano team participated in Fairfield Police Department’s Homeless Intervention team's annual free resource event, the Homeless Outreach Partnership Event (H.O.P.E.), in early March. The Reporter documented the importance of H.O.P.E. and the volunteers who came to offer resources for food, public safety services, health, housing, and more. Please read the full story here
